The Lahus' New Year's Day "Kuo Festival"
  
    Lahu Kuo Festival is Lahu's New Year. It is 1st to 3rd on January of lunar calendar each year, as same as Han's New Year. Before the festival coming, every family in village makes rice pie and prepares rich foods. They offer sacrifices to agriculture produce tools with rice pie in home, and to village god, hill god with rice pie, gun and bow beside village. On New Year's Eve, families gather together to pray ancestry soul back home for New Year. One of every family goes to get spring in the early morning on first day of New Year because the spring is thought good luck. It is the best to get it in spring at first. The second day, persons make New Year's visit in friends and elder home. The third day, party of song and dance is held in every village. Villagers play music, sing song, dance around campfire and go through all the night.
