Lahu Ethnic Group
 
        Lahu ethnic group is one of the minorities living in Xishuangbanna with a population of 50,000 approximately making up 7.6% of the total in the prefecture. The Lahu people speak Lahu ethnic language but have no written language of their own. Living with Dai, Hani and Han groups, most Lahu people can speak Dai, Hani and Han spoken languages.
¡¡Their religious belief can be fairly complicated, as most of them are followers of Buddhism while others may believe in Christianity or Catholicism.
