1.Xishuangbanna
prefecture is in a tropical climate, not too cold in winter and
not too warm in summer, except for its sharp differences in the
dry season from November to April of next year and the rainy season
from May to October of next year. It has more sunny days in the
dry season, with only small amount of rainfall, mainly slight shower
of rain; however, in the rainy season, there are more rainy days
than sunny days, in particular during July-August when there may
be successive rainy days for several days to one week. But after
rain stops, it will clear up soon and one can usually see blue sky
and white clouds.
2.The mean annual temperature in Xishuangbanna
is 18-22¡æ. It is the coldest in January, 15.6¡æ
on an average. However, there is a sharp difference in temperature
between day and night, the largest being 27.1¡æ.
3.Xishuangbanna enjoys sufficient sunlight
all year round. Sun shines again after rain and one can see blue
sky and white clouds. In spring, day breaks at 8:00 a.m. the sun
sets at 6:00 p.m.; in summer, 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. respectively;
in autumn, 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.; in winter, 8:00 a.m. and 6:00
p.m..
